Karine Hains: How Would you Feel? Word is, there could be an announcement today about an upcoming 24 team NHL playoffs tournament...

I think I would much rather see them be eligible for the draft lottery than take part in a Cup tournament which they have absolutelty zero chance to win.

It would seems more fair to do top 12 in each conference and adjust to winning percentage to compensate for teams playing a different number of games... although I think Montreal would be in either way. Really, without finishing out the season the NHL decision to include more teams is a good one.

The bigger concern is how to make the draft fair because ultimately the cup will be decided on the ice. The draft will be decided by luck and some modified rules.

Completely agree. Long term we need a good draft pick not a cheap thrill that will last 5 seconds

The Habs are Very very far from deserving of a playoff spot.

As a Hawk fan, we are in exactly the same boat. I would enjoy watching the Hawks in the 24 team tourny. But, it likely would be very short-lived.

We are re-building with lots of young talent over the last couple years, I would much rather they leave the Hawks out of it, put us in the draft lottery and hope for the best. I am thinking most Hab fans would feel the same way with their squad. Put the Hawks in a 7 team lottery for the draft is much preferred over any tourney they have ZERO chance to win.

People don't believe the media anymore so they become suspicious of everyone and everything. Don't know who to trust anymore. It can't really end well.
